iPhone 14 Satellite-Based SOS Emergency Feature

              Apple Radio Chips: Report

According to a rumor, the iPhone 14 series' satellite connectivity feature, which allows users to send an SOS message when there is no cellular network, is made possible by a Qualcomm modem and new Apple radio chips. The film is set to premiere across the United States and Canada in November and will be free for the first two years. According to recent reports, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk had "promising talks" with Apple about using Starlink communication for the new satellite capability.

According to Reuters, the phones in the series feature a Qualcomm X65 modem processor that, in addition to delivering 5G connectivity, is capable of utilising band n53 — the frequency range utilised by Globalstar satellites. According to a prior source, Apple and Globalstar collaborated on the feature, and the latter will earn approximately 95 percent of the $450 million (roughly Rs. 4,000 crores) investment.
